Committee

The church has a new committee (March 2020). This committee is in the process of implementing many changes and improvements- e.g. fire safety, health and safety measures electrical checks and updates, new heating, house-keeping. We are doing our best to raise public awareness of what we offer (see calendar) in order to encourage more people to come and receive the benefits we can offer. So why not come along and bring your friends? New members are always very welcome. You can ask a committee member for details. We can also answer your questions about our services, clairvoyant evenings, discussion and discovery evenings, and healing sessions.

The history of The Little Church began in 1970, when  a group of like minded people living within the Mid Cornwall area came together.  They first met in a hall in Ranelagh Road, and then moved to the Cuddra WI hall.  The difficulties of using rented accommodation was that all the library books and alter items had to be put away each and every time.

It was in 1981 when Frances Evans, together with her committee secured the present premises at Kings Avenue by obtaining a fully repairing Lease from the council.  Much work was done at that time to the premises, such as a building a toilet and kitchen area, which today also serves as an entrance porch.

In 2020 during the covid pandemic and subsequent lockdown the committee took the opportunity to use the monies saved in church funds over many years, to renovate and refurbish the premises.  Without the tireless efforts of  committee members past and present, mediums, members of the church, volunteers  and other fund raising events, this would not have been possible, so thank you to all those involved.

The Church is a registered charity No: 900101 and is run by a committee which is elected yearly.  There is a membership to the Church and payment of this enables the members access  to informative books,  a reduction of charges when attending on Wednesday evenings and prior notice to special events.   The committee always welcome volunteers who can assist with the running of The Little Church enabling us to continue serving the community as we have done over the past 50 years.

We believe that the spirit goes on when the physical body has spent its time on this earth plane, as do many faiths throughout the world.  We are primarily Christian  Spiritualists, but believe that every human being has their own path to tread, but we welcome everyone to our church and hope that it brings learning and enlightenment to each soul.

WHAT IS CLAIRVOYANCE?

Clairvoyance is one gift which mediums use when they are demonstrating mediumship.  Some others can be the following :-

Clairaudience – hearing

Clairsentience – sensing/feeling

Clairgustience – tasting

Clairolfractience – smelling.

Claircognicance – knowing

Each medium will use one or more of these gifts to enable the Spirit World to work through them.   The  vibrations of those in Spirit is much higher than ours, so the medium will raise their vibrations  while those in Spirit lower theirs.  When the two levels meet, it is called blending and at that point, the Spirit person can begin to communicate with the medium.

When a spirit comes through it is up to the medium to interpret the information  he or she is getting.  Sometimes it is necessary  for them  to work with the information in order to get the correct meaning.  This is why it is important for those in the audience/congregation to give a clear “yes” or “no” when the medium is talking to them.

The medium will always  try to prove to you the identity of the Spirit person they are bringing so that you will know there is no death beyond that of the physical body.

Hopefully this information will  allow you to understand, engage with and enjoy  demonstrations more fully.
